Did you know that you may be able to access government-subsidised aged care services with a free assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) - also known as an Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) in Victoria?

An assessment will help you identify and access the right support services for your needs and the level of care required. This might include accessing home help services to help you stay in your own home for as long as possible, or identifying if you are eligible for a place in a low or high care aged care facility, this subsidy is included if you live in a retirement village.

This service Home Care is for an independent living unit (ILU) in a retirement village but, you usually need one if you are thinking of moving into a serviced apartment that offers extra services in a retirement village.

The village manager will advise if this is the case.
