Registrations are filling up fast for the ACSA National Conference in Adelaide from 8-10 September. It will be a unique event with provocative speakers such as Dr Jane Barratt and Alexandre Kalache bringing their experience and knowledge to the stage.
Dr Barratt is the Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) and she is going to challenge delegates to reframe the conversations they have around ageing.
Alexandre Kalache, the head of the International Longevity Centre-Brazil, he spent 13 years directing the World Health Organisation's global Ageing and Life Course Programme in Geneva. He advocates there is a need for much closer intergenerational relationships throughout the life course and there must be a new "culture of care" across society and a level of interest that does not currently exist.
