Aveo is lodging an application to build 45 single-storey one-bedroom independent living apartments at its Launceston village in Mowbray expanding its Freedom Aged Care model within its retirement villages.

Formerly Mowbray Links, the site is currently home to 24 villas, four units and 30 serviced apartments.

This private aged care model is designed to give residents access to 24 hours a day nursing care without the need to move into an aged care home.
