The 5.4-hectare site is set within Harmony, the $3 billion master planned community at Palmview and will provide housing for more than 200 seniors across 138 independent living units.
With construction commencing in April 2018 the Aveo Palmview village will be built over five stages. The first stage of the development will include 63 two- and three-bedroom units as well as a community centre with cafe, media room, recreational and entertaining areas and professional health and wellness facilities.
According to Aveo Group CEO Geoff Grady, Harmony’s location was a key factor in choosing the site because of the Sunshine Coast’s lifestyle benefits, with the area experiencing a 21% growth in older residents in the five years leading up to 2016.
Alongside flagship village Aveo Peregian Springs Country Club, Palmview will become Aveo’s third development on the Sunshine Coast and according to Grady will deliver Harmony a state-of-the-art retirement village.
Completion is anticipated by 30 June 2020.
