The Not for Profit has commenced distribution of hundreds of new personalised tablets to NSW and QLD home care clients. Called Breezie, the software and tablet is designed to make it easier for older Australians to navigate the web.
Each Samsung tablet is customised to each client and has more than 40 pre-configured settings and sensor technology to cater for different levels of digital literacy and physical and cognitive ability.
The technology, which has already been rolled out in the UK and the US, allows access to applications such as Facebook, Skype and email and medical, entertainment and communication services.
