Assistant Minister for Social Services Mitch Fifield has appointed Nick Ryan to be responsible for making independent accreditation of aged care facilities and the quality decisions, as set out in legislation. The AACQA took over on 1 January the accrediting residential aged care, replacing the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.
