Major retirement village operator Ingenia has opened a brand new community clubhouse at their Ingenia Lifestyle Stoney Creek village, with more than 200 residents and guests in attendance to witness Councillor Kathie Collins from Blacktown City Ward 3 to officiate its unveiling.
Inside the brand new clubhouse, residents of the Stoney Creek village can enjoy an expansive dining and lounge area supported by professionally finished commercial kitchen, or outside, an alfresco space with barbecue facilities and a sundeck. The clubhouse even features a library.
Councillor Kathie Collins said establishing and preserving a close community has always been a key focus for Ingenia.
“The new clubhouse provides a place for residents to gather together and is an important element that helps create a sense of community and belonging,” Councillor Collins said.
“Creating a sense of community remains at the heart of Ingenia’s vision for its residents, and I congratulate Ingenia for delivering on this promise.
“I also want to acknowledge the important role Ingenia has played in providing high quality and affordable seniors’ accommodation in our City’s booming Northwest growth corridor.”
Residents and Ingenia staff are most looking forward to planning and making use of the new clubhouse for the community’s social events and activities, and entertaining family and friends, and accommodating a variety of important meetings – including the Ingenia Care Wellbeing program.
The Ingenia Care Wellbeing program aims to improve the independence and wellbeing of residents by assisting them to access a wide range of consumer directed care and service choices. With village assets such as the new clubhouse, services and aide will be available to residents at their doorstep.
The Stoney Creek community all agree that the new facilities are valuable resources that will foster the friendly and lively atmosphere the community lifestyle creates.
