Glenda and Frank are among the first residents to move into the expansion at Stockland’s Gillin Park Retirement Village and they already believe it’s one of the best decisions they’ve ever made.
They have downsized to a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa, one of seven recently completed new homes, to live a more relaxed retirement.
According to Glenda their new home is spacious and modern and has everything they could want and has even become a family affair with relatives moving in across the street.
The Gillin Park Retirement Village redevelopment will feature a new residents’ clubhouse which is due for completion in September and will include a gym, library, lounge and billiards area, a multi-purpose community room, kitchen and servery, as well as an additional professional room for consultations and treatments with external healthcare providers.
Warrnambool is a prime retirement destination according to Stockland Regional Development Manager Paul Keleher who believes that the new homes will help address the increasing demand from a generation of retirees wanting to live a relaxed coastal lifestyle.
With four of the homes already sold there are three remaining villas starting from $329,000.
