South Australian village provider RSL Care SA has extended their retirement village network in the state with the acquisition of Waterford Estate village in Murray Bridge at the beginning of this year.
Set in an idyllic location overlooking the Murray River approximately 50 minutes from Adelaide’s centre, the village is a valuable addition to RSL Care’s properties.
Waterford Estate is a vibrant and lively community of approximately 200 residents, and RSL Care is determined to encourage the growth of the community in spirit and in capacity.
Whilst developed from vacant farm land 20 years ago, there is a parcel of vacant land within the village which will provide RSL Care with future development opportunities. It has not yet been determined what use the land will have at this stage, though RSL Care intends explore various options in the coming months.
The existing village consists of 133 homes, large Community and Function Centre, parking area for caravans, 2.5 acres of wetlands and walking trails, all for a vibrant community of active and welcoming residents.
“Many of the residents I’ve spoken with are very pleased to see ownership of the village transfer to RSL Care SA, as they not only regard the mission and values of RSL Care SA highly, but they are also reassured by our position as not for profit operator that has been around for over 100 years,” said CEO of RSL Care, Nathan Klinge.
