The retirement living operator is hosting the demonstrations at 13 of its villages across metropolitan Melbourne, to help promote healthy living for older people and are inviting retirees to their local retirement village to learn the tips and tricks of the kitchen.
The two-hour “Spring Cooking Demo” events will be held from 11am – 1pm, between Monday 10 September and Thursday 27 September.
A tour of the village and display homes as well as a complimentary catered lunch will be included. Attendees will also have the opportunity to talk with village residents and staff.
Stockland’s Victorian Regional Sales Manager Andrew McLynskey said that they have been working with Jamie’s Ministry of Food for several years now to deliver healthy cooking and food nutrition programs in retirement village communities around Australia.
You don’t have to be a Stockland resident to attend the cooking demonstrations and any retirees in the area wanting to improve their cooking skills and learn more about living in a retirement village are welcome to attend.
