The Magistrate’s Court in Hobart has heard 32-year-old Adam Matthew Pettit took four pictures of himself with female residents while they were undressing at an aged care facility.
He then sent one of the photos to a co-worker who waited two months before telling another colleague. They informed management and Pettit was stood down pending an investigation.
Prosecutors have asked for him to be put on the sex offender register and for the phone involved to be destroyed so no one can access the images.
Pettit’s lawyer argued his client was going through a difficult period, and had not considered the humiliation his victims would feel.
According to Magistrate Glenn Hay, the victims were either unaware that Pettit had taken the photos of them or unable to stop him.
Pettit will be sentenced in February after an assessment for community service and probation.
