The digital 'disruptor', Uber - the taxi industry's arch enemy - is actively recruiting older drivers in the United States in an effort to tap into the steadily growing 50+ workforce.  Meanwhile in Australia, we are still having regular hot-button debates in the media about the number of 'road fatalities' among 49 to 85 year olds and discussing slapping age limits, specialised vehicle monitoring technology and even a new system of 'S' plates onto drivers after they hit 70.
