A virtual tour video of the new Harbord Diggers development by Mounties Group was released early this month, affirming expectations for the community’s highly anticipated arrival once completed in 2018-2019.
The flythrough footage in the tour reveals why the $160 million development will set a new global benchmark in retirement village living, as it includes of one of the most unique retirement communities to be developed in Australia, Watermark Freshwater.
Set atop headland that overlooks Freshwater and Curl Curl beaches, the entire precinct will offer the finest restaurants, bars and outdoor areas to residents. The property will also house premium fitness and aquatic facilities, and wellbeing services accessible to all residents, as a way of promoting a truly intergenerational community hub.
The retirement living residences that are part of the development comprise of 96 architecturally designed apartments priced from $1.5 million. Watermark Freshwater has now sold 73 of its 96 apartments off the plans with the first residents to move in as part of stage 1 in early 2018.
Watermark Freshwater Sales Manager Miranda Aiello said that the apartments that have sold to date have done so with very little advertising, but rather a proven demand from buyers.
“There is huge demand for high-end retirement communities like Watermark Freshwater that cater to active over 55s who want to enjoy a leisurely lifestyle in an exquisitely designed apartment, with access to all the facilities you would need at your doorstep,” Ms Aiello said.
“We also believe that Watermark Freshwater will become the global benchmark for a seniors’ accommodation development that integrates all ages of a family into a sense of community in this new intergenerational model,” added Ms Aiello.
