Murray Gardens Retirement Village co-managers Chiquita Walsh and Anne Jack have won the NSW Village Manager of the Year award at the regional competition of the prestigious Retirement Living Awards in Sydney.
The awards recognise high achievement by village staff across the industry, and cousins Anne and Chiquita have been hugely popular figures at the Albury retirement village since their start in 2012 - qualifying them as deserving winners.
Their dedication to improving and expanding village services as well as providing an increasing level of quality lifestyle to residents has garnered widespread praise.
“We were just absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the NSW Village Manager of the Year. Now to have won is just icing on the cake - we are so delighted,” says Anne.
“We want to be the best for our residents - we want to be the benchmark.”
The pair will be considered as one of five regional managers winners to then progress to being in the running for the National Village Manager of the Year award, which will be announced at a Gala Event on the 27th of November.
