The Brisbane-based operator is proposing to build 154 units across three buildings at the Ashgrove Golf Club in The Gap, 8km west of the Brisbane CBD.
The project would also include an underground car park and new clubhouse, with Club president John Shaw hailing the project as a lifeline.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that without this project the future of our club is in real jeopardy,” Club president John Shaw (pictured) said.
It’s the latest partnership for RetireAustralia, which has also teamed up with the Gold Coast’s Burleigh Golf Club and Brisbane’s Tarragindi Bowls Club in recent months.
In the same vein, the Club will still own the land and buildings while RetireAustralia will develop and run the village.
The move further cements the NZ-owned operator as our largest private provider, with 28 villages in NSW, QLD and SA and 3,700 villas and apartments under its management.
