The NZ-based company has chosen Geelong in VIC as the site for its latest Australian village, purchasing 3.2ha at Highton, outside of the Geelong CBD.
The $100 million village will feature a range of housing options including independent living apartments and townhouses, assisted living apartments and an aged care home. It will also include an indoor pool, hair and beauty salons, a bowling green, and a movie theatre.
Ryman’s Development Manager Andrew Mitchell said Ryman would be consulting with residents before submitting plans for the village
“Our research shows there is a shortage of retirement living options in the area, and we think Geelong residents are going to love the idea of a Ryman village coming to town,” he said.
Ryman already has four retirement villages in development across VIC.
