Retirement living provider Stockland is hosting an open day on Friday August 24 to unveil the newly renovated community centre at Bay Village Retirement Estate in Victor Harbor which is part of a three-year $800,000 upgrade for the village.

The new look community centre has been specially designed to meet the needs and expectations of today’s retirees and brought a new lease of life to Bay Village according to Stockland operations manager for SA David Young.

The new amenities include a commercial kitchen, library, professional services suite, new audio visual equipment in the lounge and upgraded administration offices and reception area. Further village upgrades including a BBQ and bar are to be finalised by the end of the year and an on-site bowling green by mid-2020.

Doreen Marshall, a resident at Bay Village for seven years said she can’t wait to enjoy the new clubhouse and coffee and cake with her friends at the new coffee nook adding that the upgrades will help maintain her independence and enhance her enjoyment of retirement.

Stockland welcomes all residents, their families and friends and other members of the community to attend the opening between 2pm and 4pm.
