Sydney’s ARV has purchased 5.88 ha for $16.6 million in Minto, south-western Sydney. The potential for the site is up to 200 retirement living units, including affordable rentals as part of their mission, and a 100 bed care facility.

Demonstrating the strength of the not-for-profit sector, ARV currently has a $200M a year building and refurbishment program which is internally funded. They restrict their geographic market to the Sydney Basin where they have 6,000 residents in 22 villages and 15 care facilities.

ARV was established in 1959 when Dorothy Mowll, a private citizen, decided to provide a home for retired clergy and church workers.
