Aveo Group has unveiled its completed $36 million flagship retirement village in Brisbane’s south – one of the largest retirement communities in Queensland.

The integrated living community, Aveo Durack, offers residents a full spectrum of care and lifestyle in one location. The addition of the facility complements the current range of independent living options the provider offers, enhancing the community for life to Aveo residents.

“Aveo Durack is one of our most popular communities and we’ve invested more than $66 million into reinvigorating the existing structures and developing brand new retirement living, care, and leisure facilities within the community,” said Aveo Group Integrated Retirement Communities executive general manager Jason Eldering.

Aveo Durack is set upon 34 hectares of natural bushland and lush gardens 17 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. It features a new community centre, on-site medical centred, allied health services, hairdressing salon, restaurant, lounge, library, tennis court, bowling green, fitness centre, croquet green and swimming pool.

Mr Eldering said it was important that the village amenities went above and beyond expectations.

“More than ever, we’re finding that older Australians are looking for retirement options that allow them make the most of their retirement – whether that’s pursuing new hobbies, travelling or making new friends, retirement communities need to provide more than just a ‘roof over your head.’”
