Russell Bricknell will leave his current role as CEO of the Aged Care Channel to take on the CEO role at Baptistcare WA in April.

The move will see him return to his hometown of Perth after working with NSW and VIC-based provider Australian Home Care, BaptistCare NSW and ACT and Churches of Christ Care in QLD.

Baptistcare WA is one of the largest aged care operators in WA, employing over 1,500 staff at 14 nursing homes, nine retirement villages and a range of disability and mental health services.

Baptist Care Australia’s national arm has also appointed Marcia Balzer as Executive Director. Responsible for advocacy, she is relocating to Canberra. She takes over from Carolyn Kelshaw.

Marcia was previously Head of Public Affairs Manager with the Australian Veterinary Association.

Baptist Care is one of several Not-for-Profit groups that are in Canberra in addition to ACSA and LASA, all seeking impact with government.
