One of Western Australia’s leading not-for-profit aged care and retirement village providers, Bethanie, has recently reported consistent above standard results for their Health Satisfaction Program run in partnership with private health insurance fund HBF, according to the latest Member Satisfaction Survey.
The program, which was designed to help people with chronic health conditions achieve health goals and regain independence, has given support and advice to 733 eligible HBF members to date.
All designated health coaches provided by Bethanie to the program are a team of registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and dietitians. The team mainly attend home visits as well as conduct phone support and undertake reviews of the participant’s current health status during the program.
The most recent Member Satisfaction Survey (Jan – Mar 17) completed by those partaking in the program revealed members scoring 80% or above when asked 13 various questions on the support they have been provided.
Remarkably, 95% of those surveyed were ‘satisfied with the guidance’ they received and 85% believe the ‘overall program was effective’ for them.
Bethanie’s commitment to providing a range of care services to support community members in their retirement villages and residential aged care facilities, has been reflected in their outstanding efforts in the Health Support Program.
Program Team Leader, Melanie Baker from Bethanie said, “HBF’s Health Support Program is a great opportunity to assist members who have long term health conditions to remain as independent as possible. The program aims to be a partnership between the member and health coach for a self-care approach to health and wellbeing.”
