Blue Care Executive Director Robyn Batten announced plans to develop three new community and respite care centres in Coomera, Gatton and Goondiwindi.

“For the first time Blue Care will have its own premises in Coomera and Gatton, other than leased spaces and the Goondiwindi development will replace an existing, older building,” Ms Batten said.

These three new centres are being developed to assist people in respite and aged care with services designed to promote people’s independence and improve their quality of life.

“These are exciting projects for Blue Care and the Coomera, Gatton and Goondiwindi communities and we look forward to this time next year when clients and staff will be utilising their new centres,” said Ms Batten.

She added that funding from the Queensland Department of Communities, community groups, generous bequests and Blue Care have made the developments possible.

Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2013.
