Blue Care Executive Director Robyn Batten has sealed one final deal before she departs for Borderless Health; she has driven the purchase of Fraser Shores 1 & 2 retirement villages at Hervey Bay.

The two adjacent villages deliver 427 village units plus a large parcel of land where Blue Care will build an aged care facility with land to spare.

The deal, negotiated by Russell Allison and Gordon Price of Knight Frank, is worth between $70M and $80M.

Blue Care is already strong in the region, with the purchase consolidating its position in one of the largest ‘ageing’ hot spots in the country.

Anita and David Torrisi are 30 year veterans of the retirement village sector and have been very hands on operators. Their background is in sugarcane and Bundaberg where they built their first village, Sugarland, which they still own and operate. They both worked their expo stands, selling their QLD villages to NSW and VIC retirees.

David is staying on for the smooth transition and to assist in the aged care facility development.
