The not-for-profit provider’s Paling Court aged care home at Camden was the only aged care facility on the list of finalists and was nominated under the Public Architecture category.

Designed by architectural firm Jackson Teece, the design for the 132-bed site was pushed by Chief Executive Raad Richards who wanted to evoke the feel of an ocean liner with views and natural light from both sides.

Carrington also has a number of other facilities and services in its portfolio including retirement villages, in-home support and residential respite for carers.

We liked Paling Court so much we even featured it in one of our AgedCare101 videos.
