Oak Tree Group managing director Mark Bindon said there had been a lot of interest shown in the Oak Tree Retirement Village at Darling Heights.

With 23 villas already constructed, and another 95 within the next two years, a state-of-the-art community centre will be the jewel in Oak Tree’s crown.

"We have just started work on the community centre which will hopefully be completed within the next 14 weeks," he said.

In addition to an indoor swimming pool and all weather bowling green, the centre will incorporate community facilities such as a library, computer room and entertainment areas.

"The response to our official opening has been fantastic," he said. The sale of four villas prior to the launch endorses his belief that the village would provide affordable housing for those considering their future requirements.
