The eighth and final stage of construction at Stockland’s $95 million Mernda Retirement Village has seen the addition of 17 new independent living villas, making it one of the retirement living operator’s largest in the country.
Home to more than 350 residents, the village which is located in Melbourne’s north, now features 275 independent living villas across 70 hectares, all of which are six star energy rated.
According to Stockland State Sales Manager, Andrew McLynskey, Mernda is a very popular suburb for retirement living with Stockland seeing unprecedented demand for affordable, high-quality homes, many of which were bought off-the-plan. To help reduce the stress of moving some of the homes are sold fully-furnished.
Less than 25 homes, in five different floor plans, remain for sale with prices starting from $325,000 for a fully furnished villa (conditions apply).
Amenities at the village include an award-winning clubhouse, an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, bowling green and croquet lawn, RV/caravan parking, hair salon with visiting hairdresser, billiards room, library, media room, undercover BBQ and alfresco dining area, lounge with fireplace, a bar, café and dining area.
The village’s health and wellbeing room is staffed by a dedicated Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator.
Stockland is encouraging over 55’s to enquire about its free two-week trial stay available in the village’s Wren independent living villa, to truly experience the village lifestyle.
