Ten years of fundraising for the Cancer Council by the Golden Shores Lifestyle Resort has raised over $100,000.

The Fraser Coast retirement village raises funds in shopping centre drives for Daffodil and Pink Ribbon Day in addition to their Biggest Morning Tea event each year.

Following the 2012 fundraising events, fundraising coordinator Barbara Smith realised more than $90,000 had been raised since 2004.

"The Cancer Council really appreciate what we do," she said.

"None of our residents are strangers to cancer and I am confident that we will keep on helping the Cancer Council in the future."
