Senior’s retirement lifestyle and village provider IRT Group has begun a 10-week open survey program, titled the Innovation Challenge, that will ask community members their insights on collectively revolutionizing the aged care and retirement living industry.
Within the Innovation Challenge, IRT Group will be searching for fresh ideas to reinvent support services, care experiences, and housing solutions for the ageing Australian population.
Acting Chief Executive of IRT Group, Sam McFarlane, emphasized that the program is an invitation for respondents of all backgrounds and ages who have an interest in improving options and outcomes for older Australians, to get involved.
“The Innovation Challenge works by getting lots of ideas from lots of people, exploring and refining them, and creating pilots so we can test them further, before the development of new business models begins,” Mr McFarlane said.
“How we fund and deliver services, care and housing for a growing ageing population is a critical issue. But so is how we empower and enable older people to keep making a positive contribution to our communities and enjoy quality of life.”
The IRT Innovation Challenge will scope 11 topics including those pertaining to retirement lifestyle, such as Habitat, Space & Shelter, Disruptive Tech, Experiences, and Service Delivery.
The Innovation Challenge is accepting submissions until program close on the 29th of October.
