Residents at Stockland’s Keilor Retirement Village in Melbourne travelled by bus to Keilor Gatehouse Preschool to visit the children, read them stories, help them with their artwork, do some gardening in the preschool’s vegetable patch, and meet the children’s pet guinea pigs Flower and Rosie.

Previously the pre-schoolers have visited the retirement village but it’s a costly exercise to hire buses so the village arranged to transport the residents to the preschool instead as part of Stockland’s commitment to ensuring its residents remain connected to their community.

Keilor village resident Gaye Phuah commented how children bring out the best in everyone and how heart-warming it was to see the students so proud of their pre-school, with many residents reminiscing about when their own children and grandchildren were that young.

A very happy visit for all!
