Located on the site of the old Kiama Hospital and just 10 minutes’ walk from the beach, Kiama Council’s Blue Haven Bonaira development will include a 134-bed aged care facility and 59 retirement living units.

This is an expansion of the Council’s existing Blue Haven retirement village which will be known as Blue Haven – Terralon.

The 59 retirement living units will be located within four buildings with secure underground parking and lift access though out all the buildings.

Historic Barroul House will be restored as an art space and public restaurant.

The Council has invested nearly $80 million into the project with the NSW Government providing $18 million towards the development including $8 million through the Restart NSW Illawarra Infrastructure Fund.

The Federal Government is also providing $2.39 million through its Community Development Grants program.

It is anticipated that the 59 retirement living units will be completed by mid-2019.
