Work will start within six months on a 293-unit retirement village community at Kalkie next to a recently approved shopping centre, the Bundaberg News Mail is reporting.
The over-50’s land lease community is being built by local developer Giani Gorza, from one of Bundaberg's wealthiest families.
Bundaberg has a population of around 100,000 and the site is just 13km east of Palm Lake Resort’s Bargara estate.
