Margaret River Lifestyle Village officially opened last week with a Melbourne Cup Day celebration at their new Clubhouse.
The village, located just minutes from the Margaret River township, aims to combine the security and comfort of living in an over 55’s community with the appeal of the Margaret River way of life and features a microbrewery, established orchard, electric bikes and access to the Rails to Trails network.
According to Village Project Director, Adan Nicholson, there are several boutique home designs which residents can personalise and being an energy efficient village each home has a water tank and solar panels.
Features of the Clubhouse include north facing verandas, library, gym, cinema, bar, games room, fire pit and barbecues.
Cooking lessons, gardening workshops and wine making, beer making will be some of the workshops available to residents in the lifestyle village.
Approximately 50 per cent of MRLV residents are from outside the Margaret River region many of whom follow their families from Perth or across the country to be close to their children and grandchildren in a safe and prosperous community according to Mr Nicholson.
