The $100 million development will see 79 units and 90 aged care beds added to the Sydney-based operator’s campus at Randwick.

The one-, two- and three-bedroom units will be spread across two new buildings, while a third will feature an aged care facility above a retail precinct that will be open to both residents and the public.

Montefiore president David Freeman told The Australian Jewish News that the new units will enable the provider to provide a continuum of care to its residents.

The capital raised from the sale of the unit will go towards building the new aged care facility which will specialise in dementia care.

Existing residents will not be affected by the building works.
