The 51-unit Kingsgrove Living village is being planned for the Windsor Circle Estate in Kingaroy, 210km northwest of Brisbane, and will be the first lifestyle community for the area.

The brainchild of local developer Rob Burgess who built the Windsor Circle development back in 2003, the village will also feature a community hall and Men’s Shed and be aimed at older retirees and single people in need of affordable housing.

“For this development the starting price will be about $100,000 per unit and a maximum of $250,000,” Mr Burgess told the local paper.

When the development is approved, he expects work to start by the end of 2018 with negotiations already underway with an unnamed Not For Profit to run the village.

“I’m hoping to meet with them in the next month to see where they’re at,” Mr Burgess said.

"It will be managed by a not-for-profit but only by those with experience in retirement homes and caring for the aged Australians.”
