Last Friday, Federal Members of government responsible for communities and ageing were treated to a preview of the new Aveo Springfield integrated retirement village, showcasing the community’s innovative facilities and activities for future residents ahead of the village’s opening this week.

Shadow Minister for Ageing and Mental Health Julie Collins MP, Oxley Federal Member Milton Dick MP, and Labor Candidate for Jordan Charis Mullen, received a walk-through of some of the new living areas within the village that will see senior residents moving into over 60 specialised retirement apartments this year.

Aveo Group Executive General Manager, Jason Eldering, said the site was built upon forward-thinking; incorporating the best of assistive technology to benefit residents, whilst aligning itself with the community values of Springfield.

Shadow Minister for Ageing and Mental Health Julie Collins MP, also commended the village.

"This will give local residents a choice about how they want to age and will be a wonderful facility as they'll have allied health services around it and cafes, so will indeed be a wonderful lifestyle," MP Collins said.

The Aveo Springfield community will open this Wednesday, 31st of May.
