Developers Oak Tree Group owns and operates a number of retirement villages along the east coast of Australia, including one at Warwick.

Managing director Mark Bindon is happy with the interest that’s been shown so far.

"Toowoomba has been on our radar for the past 10 years. It has just been a matter of finding the correct property," he said. Theer were a lot of inquiries regarding the town after they launched a neighbouring property in Warwick.

"So we knew the demand was there as Toowoomba is very under supplied. The big thing about Toowoomba is there are 1500 people a year who are turning 65.

The retirement village feature a state-of-the-art community centre, heated pool and full-length bowling green.
