Property developer Winwest is proposing to build the 70 units as part of a larger residential, health and retail complex at 135 Aldinga Beach Road, south of the CBD.

Called ‘Latitude’, the development would feature three four-storey buildings and one six-storey building, making it the tallest in the local area.

The complex would also include basement car parking, and be across from the Aldinga Beach Shopping Centre.

Winwest spokesman Nathan Paine said the development was a “significant” opportunity for the region.

“This is meeting the needs of the community by allowing those that need retirement living to continue to do so in their community, near their families,” he said.
