The not-for-profit has announced it will build a new integrated 100-bed aged care home at the relocated Villa Maria Centre at Eastern Heights, Ipswich.
The existing Villa Maria centre was built in 1974 and can only accommodate 40 residents.
NSW’s Catholic Healthcare came to the rescue of Villa Maria in 2006 when the sisters running the facility turned to them to operate and grow the services.
The project is due to be completed in early 2018, adding to the 41 aged care services and 10 retirement villages the not-for-profit already has across NSW.
