Construction has commenced on Aura’s $58.4 million retirement living development The Avenue Maroochydore.

Aura Director Tim Russell and the first deposit holder at The Avenue Maroochydore, Shar Bettens, officially broke ground on 18th April at the site at 1-9 Anzac Avenue.

Within walking distance to Sunshine Plaza, the CBD precinct and river, the development will provide 117 independent living units with two- and three-bedroom apartments selling from $420,000.

The recently completed St Vincent’s Residential Aged Care Facility is co-located across the road.

Features include a café, heated pool, gymnasium and on demand in-home care services through partner Five Good Friends.

According to Sunshine Coast Lord Mayor Mark Jamieson, there will be a shortage of more than 1,200 independent living units in the area by 2026 and the Aura development will align with the needs of Sunshine Coast retirees.
