Sunshine Coast retirement village, Palm Lake Resort Cooroy, is receiving an upgrade to the tune of a world-class lawn bowls green, which is soon to be presented to the community of excited residents.
The resort already brags tennis courts, billiards, movie theatre, swimming pools, and many other world class facilities, though Palm Lake Resort Cooroy-Noosa Bowls Club games director Jim Walsh said the resort’s facility was shaping up to be “absolutely spectacular”.
“The open aspect of the facility looking across to the nearby bush as well as the water feature are just beautiful,” Jim says. “We are definitely going to be the envy of all the local bowlers.”
Sportcrete is engaged to install surfaces for all new lawn bowls facilities across the Palm Lake Group, with all Palm Lake villages already having Greengauge woven bowls surfaces in use on existing bowls rinks.
The design and make is perfect for Palm Lake Resort lawn bowls rinks as they are used for a variety of events, from social barefoot bowls games for beginners, right up to serious competitive matches for seasoned players.
“The outcome is a precision bowls base built to the finest tolerances, designed to perform year in and year out,” Mr Sutcliffe said.
