Founder and CEO of ‘disruptor’ digital home care service Better Caring presented at our LEADERS SUMMIT the case for engaging with village and home care operators. His business case was summarised as:

“Better Caring enables a community of independent care workers (the businesses of one) to offering services directly to their clients and via providers”

Launched in November 2014, Better Caring now has 590 care workers inducted into their programs in NSW and VIC.

For home care operators Better Caring offers an outsourced workforce that requires little administration and charges say $30 an hour compared to say the operator’s $45 per hour. This makes good economic sense and could be good news for the client, delivering 6.9 extra hours a week in care to a Level 4 home care client.

Peter emphasised that his carers are available to work with package operator case managers.

A number of home care operators are already utilising Better Caring, he reported.
