The new operator was founded by former RetireAustralia colleagues Tim Russell and Mark Taylor in September last year, but has set itself a target of 2,000 in the next five years.

Already they have over 880 units in the planning or construction phase – and now they have set their sights on two suburban Sydney sites.

While the locations remain confidential, Aura is known for its partnerships with local bowl and sporting clubs.

Their latest QLD development – the 117- unit four-storey The Avenue Maroochydore – is located on the site of the former Swans Bowls Blub and was approved in May.

They have also just started work on the 53-apartment first stage of their $130 million development at Corinda, 9km southwest of the Brisbane CBD.
