St Michael's Apartments and Community Care, Southern Cross Care’s $15 million facility for Casino opened last week.

The 73 room facility took two and a half years to build and was officially opened by Mery sister Juliana Dwyer (pictured).

SCC Area manager Leanne Doohan said she was proud to see the outcome of the redevelopment.

"For many years we've dreamed, we've planned, and we've worked hard," she said.

Chief executive of Southern Cross Care NSW and ACT, Paul McMahon, said St Michael's would mean more beds, more jobs, and more opportunities for Casino.
