Residents at SwanCare’s Bentley Park village – Western Australia’s largest co-located development – have voted in favour of a new $60 million community hub and leisure precinct that will transform the existing 15-hectare site.

The new facilities will include a heated indoor pool, gym, fitness rooms and recreation zones for wellness-based activities, a cultural centre, new club rooms, a residents’ lounge, multi-purpose function spaces, a community pavilion and landscaped gardens.

SwanCare Chief Executive Officer Graham Francis said the decision ensured the village would continue to provide a safe and engaging space for residents.

“Scenic walkways will enable residents to move seamlessly and safely throughout this entire central activity and recreation area,” he said.

“This is an exciting time for SwanCare and our residents; in fact, this is the most ambitious development to ever be undertaken at the site since it was developed in 1961, which makes this milestone in our history even more special.”
