The NZ-owned operator is planning to build the village at the Tarragindi Bowls Club, 8km south of the Brisbane CBD, after securing a 99-year lease on the site.
The application to Brisbane City Council includes units from three to five storeys with two levels of basement car parking plus a new two-storey clubhouse and a community park. One of the bowling greens will also be removed, while the other will be refurbished.
The bowls club currently leases the land from the Yeronga Services and Community Club (YSCC).
The news comes just two weeks after we reported on RetireAustralia’s similar offer for the Burleigh Golf Club on the Gold Coast.
