Retire Australia’s Riverina Gums property has recently welcomed new retirement village manager, Ann Baker, into their community.
Ms. Baker, a local to the Wagga Wagga area, was previously a team leader providing assistance to the homeless, and has worked in disability and aged care services for 20 years.
In the first days in her new role, she has enjoyed meeting residents and staff, and learning about life at one of Wagga Wagga’s most trusted options for retirement village living.
“All the residents and staff have been so helpful and welcoming,” Ann said. “I get a great sense of community and, among the staff, a genuine respect for the residents.”
As Village Manager, Ann is responsible for ensuring life at Riverina Gums is stressfree and vibrant for everyone, and fully embraces the village’s warm community atmosphere that values social activity and interaction.
“Riverina Gums is a great location with a shopping centre and medical centre within walking distance,” Ann said, reflecting on the village’s relaxed and secure environment in peaceful surroundings.
“I’m really looking forward to having my finger on the pulse, and getting things done,” she said.
