Plans have been lodged for 283 units across four five-storey buildings plus a resident clubhouse and health and wellbeing services next to its Pines Shopping Centre in Doncaster East, 22km northeast of the CBD.

The Pines Retirement Village will also include three storeys of car parking for residents and shoppers, plus upgrades to the bus interchange and more public spaces for the community.

According to Stockland retirement living regional manager Paul Keleher the complex would be perfect for local homeowners who want to downsize but remain in the neighbourhood and has the potential to not only create a well-connected village but also enhance customer experience at the existing shopping centre.
