Veteran not-for-profit organisation, Goodwin, have officially opened their newest and final stage within ‘The Central by Goodwin’ retirement village today, a hallmark achievement for the 60-year-old organisation.
The new village, situated in the heart of Crace, ACT, incorporates sophisticated apartments and townhouses, equipped with lifestyle supports and facilities. The village development also includes a lifestyle club, gym, business centre, library, spacious lounge, games room, croquet green and even a lifestyle coordinator.
Chief Executive Officer of Goodwin Aged Care Services, Sue Levy, has said of the development that she is thrilled to see that the village’s first residents have created a friendly and vibrant community throughout the complex.
‘Developing in the greenfield area of Crace meant we could fill a need for retirement living options in the Gungahlin area,’ said Ms Levy, adding that many of the current residents had relocated to the village to be nearer to grandchildren and relatives in the surrounding area.
