The five-storey development in West Lakes, 14km from the CBD, will feature a three-storey, 108-bed aged care facility, an 18-bed memory support unit and 17 retirement living apartments. The street frontage will include a café and hairdresser plus retail and allied health services.
According to Uniting SA Chief Executive Officer Libby Craft this development will bring residents into the hub of the community whilst encouraging local residents to enjoy the ground floor shops and services.
The 6,600sqm site will replace the north-east corner of Football Park, which is expected to be demolished within weeks as part of property developer Commercial & General’s redevelopment of the former football stadium. The co-located site will join the Not For Profit’s six aged care facilities and five retirement villages in SA.
Construction is anticipated to commence early next year.
