Construction at Aveo’s Tanah Merah, located twenty five minutes south of Brisbane, will be completed next month reaffirming the retirement provider’s commitment to investing in its Freedom Aged care model.
The upgrade will provide 62 new private aged care units and new community amenities including a media room, hairdressing salon, gym, consulting rooms, memory support unit and sensory garden.
Aveo’s Freedom Aged Care model offers seniors the freedom to live as independently as possible in a non-institutionalised high quality aged care environment allowing residents to age in place as their needs increase without having to move.
Tanah Merah provides a full range of care and support services including diversional therapists, highly qualified health professionals and 24-hour personal care and nursing staff.
According to Aveo CEO Geoff Grady the highest priority of the upgrade has been to ensure that residents have access to the best possible care which includes features such as ‘memory node’ space dedicated to helping those with cognitive concerns and a sensory garden designed to stimulate all five senses for people living with dementia.
Mr Grady added that this holistic approach to retirement allows Aveo to create a community for seniors at all stages of life.
With palliative care available on-site, the Freedom community matches a residential aged care facility in services while providing residents with the freedom of independent living.
One- and two-bedroom units in Tanah Merah’s new stage are available from $425,000
